Origin, diffusion and economic characteristics
The "bare neck" duck (in French Cou-nu) is a light French breed. She was recently selected from a mutation due to a recessive gene. It was first presented at the Metz international exhibition. Very rare. It lays eggs of an average weight of 50-60 grams and generally with a greenish shell.
Morphological characteristics
Wild plumage. The neck looks naked.
Medium weight:
- male a. 1.2 kg
- female a. 1.1 kg
